In this Giving Time Auction Alton Brown is donating a Weiss American Issue Standard Field Watch. Be sure to check out: https://givingtime.crownandcaliber.com to learn more! Alton Brown's Weiss watch is an early carbon gray color-way of the Weiss line that is no longer available, making it a rare find. 2014 was the early days of Weiss Watch Company and during that time, the serial numbers on Weiss watches weren’t linear. Alton Brown's watch is #0053, but was actually the 8th watch of approximately 100 made in the carbon color-way. At that time, all of Cameron Weiss' watches were manually machined and the dials were hand painted by himself in his home workshop. He also did the watchmaking, finishing and hand assembly in that shop. This watch has a matte carbon gray dial with dark hand painted indices and a double domed crystal. It comes on coordinating CORDURA® canvas strap, also manufactured by Weiss. The sale of Alton Brown’s watch will support The Giving Kitchen in Atlanta, Ga.
