Bacolod City Takes a Time Out to Complete Mass Testing

After months of relatively relaxed quarantine measures Bacolod and the province of Negros Occidental there has been an uptick in covid cases in the region. After local hospitals raised the alarm that they are understaffed to meet a surge of people needing hospitalization. Therfore, the mayor has decided to put the entire city on Time Out for 4 whole days between August 28-31. During this time a program of mass testing will be carried out to get a better understanding of the situation. The current MGCQ status ends on August 31st and it is so far unclear what will happen after that.
