The Shoei Neotec II beat the Schuberth C4 by a few inches back in 2018 in the head-to-head race for the quietest modular helmet. The Neotec 2 has stood the test of time, but can it still beat Schuberth at its own game with the release of the all-new Schuberth C5 motorcycle helmet? In this road test review I’ll be taking you through the most important aspects of both flip up helmets and giving you my opinion on which one is the quietest and which one performs the best. The new Schuberth C5 lid features the ECE 22.06 certification. In fact, the C5 is the very first modular helmet on the market to be 22.06 certified. The Shoei Neotec II is still running on the ECE 22.05 rating, which makes sense as the helmet has been around for 4 years. Hmm, could there be a Shoei Neotec III on the way? --- Check out the full Schuberth collection here: https://www.fortamoto.com/brands/schuberth-helmets/ Check out the full Shoei collection here: https://www.fortamoto.com/brands/shoei-helmets/ Check out our full motorcycle helmet collection here: https://www.fortamoto.com/motorcycle-helmets/ Click here for more information on the Shoei Personal Fitting System: https://www.fortamoto.com/brands/shoei-helmets/shoei-personal-fitting-system/ --- Watch our review of the Schuberth C5 here: /watch/MPGJyLaF-O3FJ Watch our review of the Shoei Neotec II here: /watch/M7w53SxsW1ts5 --- Shoei Neotec II specifications: Advanced Integrated Matrix outer shell 3 size outer shell (XS+S+M / L / XL+XXL) Integrated spoilers EPS inner shell 2 types of inner shell density for optimal shock absorption RVS micro ratchet chin strap buckle ECE approved CNS-3 visor with Pinlock anti-fog lens insert Integrated sun visor with high quality sunglasses characteristics Multiple ventilation intakes and outlets for maximal air circulation 3D shaped interior Removable and washable inner lining Noise reducing earpads Intercom/Bluetooth prepared Schuberth C5 specifications: DFP (Direct Fibre Processing) fibreglass outer shell with carbon reinforcement layer Improved aerodynamic outer shell 2 outer shell sizes Quiet and stable P/J homologation Multizone inner shell with different densities for optimal shock absorption Super wide visor with Max Vision anti-fog Pinlock® 120 lens 3 large ventilation inlets Direct to mouth ventilation Integrated 80% tinted dark smoke sun visor Memory Function visor Prepared for the SC2 communication system (speakers, antennas etc. are preinstalled) Prepared for the Schuberth INDIVIDUAL custom fit system AROS anti-roll chin strap system Reflection panels on chin curtain, neck roll, helmet stickers and above the visor 5 year factory warranty (after registration) ECE 22.06 approved --- Thanks for watching.
