Good Night John-Boy Earl Hamner Jr.'s Childhood Bedroom The Walton-Hamner House Schuyler VA: TOUR 2

Installment number 2 slide show gives an exterior shot of both the front and back of the house plus a couple of glimpses of the replica of John’s truck and also the front porch. The photos next highlight the boys’ bedroom which is one of two bedrooms upstairs. Fun Walton Fact: the real John Boy (Earl Hamner Jr) shared a room with his brothers. We learned that fact on our tour. One of the photos show the upper level hallway, the room to the left of window is the boys' room. The girls' room is at the right of the picture hanging on the wall. The portrait shown at the very last of the photo slide show is of a mother and daughter who lived in the community and were the inspiration for the Baldwin Sisters characters that Earl Hamner Jr wrote about in his novel and on the TV show. This video series of the Walton Hamner House is dedicated to the memory of the grandmother I never got a chance to meet. I do know things about her that my mom has told me about her and one of those things is that she LOVED the classicTV show the Waltons. The Walton Hamner House is a Virginia Landmark as it is the house the real family that the Waltons were based on lived in.
